I have fond memories of spending Thanksgiving morning in my PJ’s in front of the TV watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now, it usually involves cooking while watching the parade, but nonetheless, the parade is always part of the day. A few years ago, my aunt moved to New York and happens to live near the start of the parade. I visited her for her first Thanksgiving in NYC and was so excited to see the parade in real life. When I think of summer, I think of Santa Cruz weekends. My family beach house has been a constant vacation destination ever since I can remember. As a kid, I would spend my time playing on the beach, actually swimming in the freezing cold ocean, burying each other in the sand, and digging up as many sand crabs as we could find. These days I spend more time hanging out on the porch than with the sand crabs, but they will always bring back good memories. And that’s exactly why I had to make these ridiculously cute sand crab cupcakes for our most recent beach weekend.
